As the Governance Communal Discernment Committee (GCDC), we are inviting all of us to continue our conversation regarding
our communal discernment regarding governance, and
our call to simplification.
In addition, we feel it is important to have an opportunity to share about
our lived reality in this pandemic.
We will be proposing topics for discussion and asking for feedback from each group. After receiving the feedback, we will share the results, and move us on to the next topic. In general, it will move us through the topics listed above: governance, simplification, and lived reality.

Discussion Topics
Round One
The discussion topics will evolve. For now, please discuss the following questions:
How are you experiencing this present reality during this time?
How are you finding blessings?
Once you have had your discussion, the facilitator or a designated scribe is asked to submit the group's response by June 15 to Carol Underhill at cunderhill@csjsl.org.
We had our zoom meeting today. All but Sr. Gerrie, were able to attend,5 of us on zoom and one on phone. the sharing was rich and important for all of us.
We start with hope, God's love is everlasting love shown through each of us by our kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and love shown to each other.
We discussed how we are doing personally. Then we talked about the recent week of demonstrations and protests for justice and an end to racism. We also appreciate the letters written by LCWR, federation, congregation, our province and S. Paul province. we need to go beyond reading and move however we can to make changes, even if it is simply writing our local leaders to enact fair laws and just policies.
We also commented on how much the week on Laudato Si meant to all of us. The resources from the federation and congregation were excellent and helped us move beyond recycling.
