Join us in 2012 for an ongoing, online conversation organized and presented by women religious under the age of 60 on emergent Religious Life:

Regional and Local
Online and Face to Face
Interdisciplinary

In partnership with Giving Voice, we will host four online forums, each convened on a Sunday at 2pm Eastern US Time and lasting about 90 minutes. Presenters, respondents, and attendees can participate from their computers, either individually, or in group settings. It will be flexible enough for small groups to gather in local communities or in larger group settings. These groups can then continue the conversation locally and share their insights in an online forum.

Paulette Skiba, BVM
Karl Rahner's Theology of Saying "Yes" to God as a Resource for Reflecting on Apostolic Religious Life Today

“Saying yes to God” captures the heart of religious life. Karl Rahner frames our “yes” in three ways: facing death, loving neighbor and hoping for the future. Each corresponds to challenges facing religious. Dialogue with Rahner can be especially fruitful for religious committed to creating a “church of freedom” so essential to its gospel witness.

Paulette Skiba, BVM, Ph.D. entered the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Dubuque, IA) in 1984 and holds a doctorate in theology from Marquette University. Currently she is a professor of religious studies at Clarke University in Dubuque.
